What are the first signs of flowering?

Photoperiod plants start flowering when you flip them to a 12/12 light schedule. You'll see rapid growth after flipping, when plants can "stretch" up to 3x their height. This growth gives the plant the extra strength needed to support the buds and colas.

Single leaves will bunch together and small white hairs (pistils) will grow from these branches. During weeks 3-4 of flowering, these bunches become tiny buds, also known as budlets. Don't be alarmed if a few lower leaves start to yellow, this is to be expected.

Weeks 4-6 see a dramatic fattening of the buds - now's the time to get really excited!
